Meet the Author
Bobbie Henderson is a lifelong animal lover and children’s storyteller who believes that even the smallest acts of generosity and courage can make life’s biggest changes feel a little less scary.
Inspired by life on the coast with her husband and their three dogs, Bobbie writes touching stories filled with friendship, hope, courage, and the comforting bond between people and animals. Her stories are interlaced with beautiful sunrises, gentle bay breezes, and the wag of a friendly tail, inviting young readers into a world where bravery can bloom in the quietest moments.
Through the Abby’s Adventures series, Bobbie hopes to help children recognize the beauty, strength, and goodness within themselves. Her stories gently remind young readers that sadness, uncertainty, loss, and change are part of life, but they do not have to face those moments alone. With love, courage, friendship, kindness, and hope, children can find the strength to keep moving forward and discover that new beginnings may lead to unexpected joy.
Through Abby’s experiences, Bobbie also hopes to offer parents, educators, counselors, and child development professionals a gentle way to begin meaningful conversations with children about change, grief, belonging, friendship, self-confidence, resilience, and accepting new beginnings. At the heart of every Abby’s Adventures story is a simple message: You are stronger than you think, kindness matters, and there is always room for hope.
